This is probably old news now. I know others have reported on their test drives. But here is my opinion for what it's worth. A few months ago I did a test drive on a F250 crew cab 4X4 with a 6.2 (not sure on the gearing). I was disappointed. Nice truck just did not meet my expectations. Not much on low end toque. Yesterday I drove a 2017 crew cab 4X4 with a 6.2 with the 3.73 gears. I was impressed. Lots of low end toque. From a dead stop it was impressive. The new transmission might be the biggest improvement. I know there are some toque increases too. If you have a 6.2 on order you will not be disappointed. Just my thoughts.

Thanks I have been trying to get feedback on it for a while and really worried I should of got the diesel. Glad to know I will be OK, as I got the 4.30 rear end so it should hall the mail!
Good to know. Yes the slug start of the previous year models is a big complaint. Excited to have the new trans and better low end TQ. This was the primary reason I went 250 instead of 350- to get the new trans in the gasser. Thanks for your review! Cant wait...
Thanks! That's good to hear. It wasn't going to be much work for it to beat my 4.3 V6, but still happy to see some positive feedback. I know it'd not be very realistic, but did you happen to bring up the fuel mileage display?

Reason: Spelling.

No. It had 40 miles on it and I drove it hard. So any reading would be unrealistic.

This is good to hear. For an instant I questioned my decision to go with the 4.30 gears in a new 2017 F250 6.2L CCSB. However, for towing a 8500-9000 lbs. bumper-pull travel trailer at speed in hilly/mountainous terrain I still think that the 4.30 gears make sense in a 2017.
Also, if, as Ford says, the new 6.2L gets better MPG, so much the better!
My friend at my dealer went to their dealer show in Seattle last week. He said the number one improvement he saw/felt was the noticeable power/performance increase in the 6.2. This new Gen2 6.2 is going to be sweet. Extra bonus for my order is the TorqShift-G and the 4.30's. Can't wait. My ETA is now 8/27, built July 22.

I'm sure everyone knows this but just incase the don't or they are wondering about it the torqshift-G will only be in the F-250 the F-350 will have the same same trans as the diesel like all the 6.2's have in the previous model years
