rear bumper pic request

Kind of a weird request, but thinking about changing out my rear bumper on the 75 swb 2wd. It currently has a nice chrome step bumper but have been thinking of the more period correct slimmer chrome bumper these trucks came with. The LMC truck catalog carries one that looks like what I have in mind. Not really interested a roll pan. Does anyone have pics they can share?

ALL rear bumpers were optional.

Lower picture (99 = Styleside pickup):

D3TZ-17906-A Chrome & D3TZ-17906-B Painted .. Styleside Contour Rear Bumpers / Chrome reproduced.

Contour bumper uses different brackets than step bumper.

1973/79 F100/250 2WD / 1978/79 F250 4WD / 1973/79 F350 w/37" width between the inner frame rails behind the cab / 1978/79 Bronco.

Bronco's use different bumper brackets than F100/350.

FWIW---LMC bumpers are junk!! Have some buddies that bought front and rear bumpers from them a couple of years ago and they are completely junk!!

I have purchased several from JBG and been very happy with their quality. Just my .02

As ND pointed out, the correct name for that bumper is "Contour Bumper":

What bumper is that? So clean, I am having a hard time finding the fit. Beautiful truck by the way.

Mine had the "Contour Chrome" bumper on rear when I bought it but I soon decided that was not a good bumper for my uses. It was in great shape .... so I sold it and I made this one .... it's 3/16" (or maybe thicker) steel channel about 8 or 10" tall and with 2" lips, I notched ends and bent in and welded, made the license plate well, and added the diamond plate on top. Made some 1/4" plates to mount it with to frame. It's stout.

Here's an example of the top one from ND's post. Fits Flareside only though, I believe.

Painted contour rear bumper on a 5th generation Bumpside truck but, it's the same style used in the 6th generation Dentsides --although the mounting bolt points are a little different from a bumper that would go on a Denside, due to frame width differences but, you get the idea.

I bought my rear bumper, mounting brackets/bolts and license plate lights through NPD (National Parts Depot).

When found in the salvage yard, it always finds its way home.

Broncos seem to always be the source in my area.....



The crusty back side gets cleaned up and treated with gloss POR or Rustoleum.





It cleaned up well...

I got this on the back of mine when I bought the truck. No idea who makes it. Thought it looked kinda corny, but it's looks pretty heavy duty even with all that chrome, so I'll hang on to it for now. Just some ideas...
