OK guys I'm 66 and so tired of all these new stereo/radio players with all the push buttons etc. I just want a cd player with a turn on **** and a tuner **** the heck with the rest of the stuff. My current radio is a single din. Does anyone know what years and models will interchange with my 1996 F250 7.3 single din. Did Ford make a simple CD/radio player in other years and other ford vehicles that will interchange and work in my truck?

Call Crutchfield. They have your BASIC CD player for UNDER $100
and they are FAR more reliable than the factory ones from 20 years ago and unless your truck had the Premium sound from the factory, the Factory CD player will do you no good anyway
I put a modern Sony in my OBS and still curse the damn thing every time I use it. Those tiny buttons are impossible to use while underway, and the remote control ain't much better. And that little screen that has moving things flashing on it, what's that all about?
I still like the old car radios with two ***** and five pushbuttons.
Of course, I am 73.
I will say this: I do like transistors better than tubes in radios today. And CDs are better than the vinyl record-players of my youth.
But I guess nowadays even CDs are going out of style in favor of other things I can't even describe.
