Possibility of a bent push rod?
#31
you mean 25.8 for every 1000 rpm... or 98.04 mph.... and rpm and speed are not a linear relationship with gears...
Moral of the story is pull your valve covers... its easy to check your springs and rods, but at 3800 rpm you likely slapped a valve with a piston on stock springs... Finish the other motor already!

Mine works this way:
MPH RPM MPH per1000 RPM
45 1160 25.77
50 1290 25.80
55 1420 25.82
58 1500 25.86

Circumference of the tire is 33" * 3.14 = 103.62"
(3600 revs/min) * (1 driveshaft rotation / 0.71 rev) * ( 1 tire rotation / 3.55 driveshaft rotation ) * ( 103.62 inches / tire rotation) * (60 min / 1 hour) * ( 1 ft / 12 in ) * ( 1 mi / 5280 ft ) = 140 mph.

I believe 3600 rpm, with 0.71 OD, with 3.55 gears, and 33" tires works out to 140 mph.
Circumference of the tire is 33" * 3.14 = 103.62"
(3600 revs/min) * (1 driveshaft rotation / 0.71 rev) * ( 1 tire rotation / 3.55 driveshaft rotation ) * ( 103.62 inches / tire rotation) * (60 min / 1 hour) * ( 1 ft / 12 in ) * ( 1 mi / 5280 ft ) = 140 mph.

Well I would say like I said before and put up a video. It's pretty simple to get up to speed, do a three second video of your GPS recording your speed, and the argument is over. But wait, that didn't work last time so I'm not sure why it would work this time. Like I have also stated before, I will gladly stand corrected. I just can't imagine these big *** trucks doing any more than 110 mph.

I need to get one of those apps I'm a bit behind electronic technology so I'll look into it.
There's no way I he'll I'll do that speed again in the truck the thing was unstable and plain dangerous, sorry Byron call it BS if you want but there's no way I'm doing it again.
Nottyrope at that speed? Or just a normal plain acceleration and deccel drive?
