I would be worried but it was fine with the stock turbo a couple weeks ago

With my air upgrades, I've been running 550-600 at that speed on the flat, with 3-4 PSI boost, on all of my tunes. Does this happen in stock tune?

What about air filter? What does it look like? Dirty? Restricted? That could cause high air temps going in which in turn would cause higher temps going out?

That's too high for all the air a 38R can supply. Given the recent work I'd look at the collector to turbo connection. Can you get a pic of that clamp?

What is max boost these days?

A friend and fellow member upgraded from E99 to L99 last year, and he had high EGTs with low boost after the upgrade. It turns out he failed to upgrade the v-band clamp while we was at it. Many have had issues with getting the registry post on the baby's butt lined up with the turbo inlet, and it leaves a gap there.

What's your boost and backpressure, and did you verify a good lock at the collector?
