93 2.3L Splash light switch conundrum
Supposedly, the tan-white wire (which unites to a red wire at the connector B2) carries the power to the light switch. On mine, it doesn't seem to. Fuse #10 has no power no matter what. However, a big brown wire, which is never mentioned, has continuous power to pin B1. When I jump it to the tan-white/red wire, pin B2, the switch controls the tail and front corner lights. Otherwise there's no tail light action
When I hook the big brown wire to the double brown wires, pin R, the same lights work without the switch.
When the tail/front corner lights are on, the red rear cab light is on....isn't this a brake light?
Also, brake lights are not working by pedal....they were earlier...
So, tail wiring is ok, but what's up with the power to the switch? I can't find any numbers on the switch to confirm it's the wrong switch...could that even make a difference?
Other than that, it's a swell truck, but there's some hair-pullin' goin' on.
I know the tan wht wire is supposed to be power.
Where does the heavy brown wire come from? It's at least 12ga. maybe 10ga?
I'll try for a better, contorted look, but my surgeon will kill me if he finds I'm torquing my shoulder repair. Mirror on the floor, I suspect.
