351 connecting rods
i bought a 1987 351w from a junkyard
i dont think its stock because it has studs rather then bolts on the connecting rods and a double timing chain
is this the stock set up
i also can't find a ford logo stamped in the pistons was there one?

The stock pistons should have the engine size by the ends of the wrist pins.

thanks do u know if they came factory with studs on the connecting rods or a double roller chain

All the ones I have seen have a bolt pressed in the rod with nut on cap end. I don't think the double roller timing chain is original.

most of the newer 302/351's that I have seen (87 and up) in a junkyard had a double roller timing set from the factory
