My wireless receiver is mounted by my tailgate and the wireless transmitter is in the front of my 24' enclosed car hauler so they are about 4' apart. The transmitter and camera get powered on from my backup lights and the video shows up as the Aux view in the dash. Is was very simple to do and I have less then $100 in the system.
LOL, you are talking about the $375 option for user installed trailer camera ONLY (NO TPMS).
What is it HARD WIRED? Do you really need to ask?
Folks its HARD WIRED to integrate with your 360 camera system so you can use the in-dash screen and camera settings.
You want WiFi/Bluetooth or smoke signal, fine you are not going to see I on our screen, but you can buy a monitor to display it for you.
Here is how I did it: Take Ford user install camera system, attach to outfall, fish down thru wall and underneath and plug into the provided fixture I mounted on my rear bumper, beats the hell out of ****-poor wifi/bluetooth...
I assume the tail of your trailer has a slide out which is why your camera is there. What's that thing mounted to the wall - lower left of the pic?
Wireless doesn't work to well when you've got a 40 foot long trailer. And whoopdedoo that you have another cable... do you already have wireless tail lights? Follow the wiring for the lights - it's not normally all that difficult. I've got 2 cameras in my horse trailer that are hardwired.. Specifically went that route over wireless so I didn't have to deal with the wireless issues. It's not like I'm moving the cameras from trailer to trailer... it's a one-time deal.
Directional wireless does, and the lower the frequency the better. So the cheaper 2.4Ghz that's been out forever would be better. Also, you have to power it, and as far as I know, there is no wireless power solution yet.
I'm still trying to figure out a good solution that doesn't cost an arm and a leg for a dash cam, and rear cam, in case someone hits me and tries to say some bull**** that isn't true. And also 4G to the cloud so I can get alerted if someone hits it while parked, which has already happened.

How does it wire into the factory display? What brand is it?
