steering column measuremnet

How do I measure the length of the steering column length I need for my F100? I am using the stock bench seat for my truck. Any ideas?

Well there is the old tried and true broomstick and paper plate method :-)
Gives you an idea of where the steering wheel will end up

The Ididit web site has complete instructions for measuring. They are a bit confusing, until you are in the truck and reading them while you look at what you are reading about.
