Alright, so i've had an '02 f250 for about 6 years now and an '01 f250 for about 3 and they both shift pretty much the same. 02 shifts a tad different depending which setting the ts6 is on. But overall feels about the same. I bought a L99 f350 a couple weeks ago to replace the 01, (work trucks). I can definitely tell the gearing in the diff is different but the transmission in the late 99 shifts way different than the other two trucks. I was just wondering if someone could shed some light on this for me. I was told the 99 is all stock. looks to be so motor wise.
ok thanks for the great info. One more question, riffraff has the ts 6 position on sale and i really like it in my '02. I'm guessing if i install that it will shift like the '02???
also do you guys like the gearing on the 1 tons? I'm running 2400rpms at 74 Mph. Im pretty sure it has stock size tires.
No, It will shift like a 99 with tweaks....A tuner doesn't change your Base PCM program, They rearrange some of the performance parameters.
If you get a TS Performance brand chip, then it will shift pretty much exactly like it does now. However if the one you buy from KT performance is the power-hungry Phoenix athen yes it will shift like your 02. TS performance does not use the same calibration as other tuning companies.
