Heater control *****

***** by 'firstrider'

I purchased these 'stock' heater ***** that Denny (firstrider) is making.
They are great and look like the originals.
I just ordered 3 more so I can update the F 3.
If stock look is your thing then these are it!
Since my cables are threaded to accept the standard, available, black ***** I installed inserts to Denny's ***** and done!!!
The bottom **** showing the inserts has what looks like imperfections on the ****....there are none, probably something from my hands!

Those are pretty nice. I remember his thread last year I think. He is certainly the heater guru.

I have been thinking about making up some shirts w/ a '51 Magic Air heater on the back and a '52 Magic Air heater on the front and a small Magic Air Heater King on the pocket .That would be a hoot .

Would like all to know that entering into this Magic Air heater system side business / hobby was all by needing heater boots for the 2 '52 F-1 's in the stable . A few yrs. ago I grew tired of dealing w/ all the rust issues & rebuilding of parts that looked like swiss cheese , acquiring the correct thickness felt for the doors , core rebuilding materials , many trips to the media blasters to get all that rust removed from the heaters & fresh air tubes and all other related items but Ilya " 51panelman" talked me into staying with it . I am not making a killing doing this but do it as therapy , the challenge and to help all other truck nuts with the correct pcs. to make any Magic Air heater system totally functional . Spending thousands of dollars to acquire used heaters , fresh air tubes , motors , core material ., & etc. since '08 .,

Will be picking up 4 complete systems + many more in Oct on the yearly parts safari .If any one needs any specific item please let me know by Sept 25 . Will be visiting 2 yards with many '48-'52 Ford trucks . One yard has no Magic Air heaters 'cause all 11 of them were scavenged in '12 . Know at the other yard is 2 FORD script heater systems and many other parts . Will post pics of the haul asap .Will also try to score some Wis. speed beef ( venison )

I ordered the correct defrost **** for my '49 from DC. It is the same **** as used on a late '46 car. The correct heater switch **** is not being reproduced, my original was still decent. the unmarked cable **** is the water control valve I added. I just used a '46 car choke **** from DC and sanded off the C. I still need to order a late '46 car lighter **** to match the others.

This is the original heater switch and bracket for my recirculating heater. The defrost cable goes in the empty hole. This heater switch **** is also the correctly styled **** for the '48-'50 fresh air heater.

thanks everyone fotr he input on my heater i was able to find the cable locally, i got a new motor from dennis carpenter painted it up and reinstalled it. i left the magic air emblem as is, i am not building a show truck and thought it was unique to enjoy the nostalgia of it. still dont see where my controls would have been lighted

Some were lighted, most were not. If you don't see light bulb sockets behind your panel, and a clear plastic function ID plate across the front, yours is probably not lighted.

Back lit version was on a '51 Magic Air heater . Henry cut costs in '52 w/ the plain version . The cables are a tad different on the shoulder where they enter the panel .
