There were definitely some serious storms to end the week. Middletown got hammered. Lots of limbs down in my yard this morning. I was away with my daughter in PA, but got pictures from the wife. Thursday night's storms cut our power for most of the night. Way too hot to be without even a fan.
Spent Friday morning through midnight last night fixing damage from the storms that came through. Seems like it got nasty in some areas based on the damage we came across.
Been a while Tom, she bought a 2013 SRX with 10,000 miles on it. It had been one of those lease jobs. She's happy. She did well got 28k for the 2014 Sahara.
How's the wife and kids doing? Are you guy's happy with the Transit with lift?
Hope the Midwest is cooler. It's been Hot & Steamy out here for the past week and a half. Today ties the record for longest heat wave on record. The Florida Everglades has nothing on Connecticut this August.
After running the A/C all summer, they're gonna have to come out and change the bearings in my electric meter.

Sounds like a good deal, that's really low miles for a 3-year-old car!

Okay for the most part. Hannah had the misfortune to require another decompression surgery at the end of last month. Kind of a big deal, they went into the base of her skull and removed bone and scar tissue that was compressing the back of her brain. Took about four hours in the OR and the rest of the week in the hospital. She seems to have mostly bounced back from that, but she lost the ability to swallow. Hoping she gets this back over the coming weeks.
Funding came through for the van a couple of months ago, and it went into the shop about a month ago. Got it back at the end of last week, and so far we're very happy with it. They did a great job on the conversion, too...they detailed it inside and out, weighed it afterward, replaced the payload sticker, and even performed a 4-wheel alignment at the end.

Wow. We've had a few warm days in the mid-90's, but not in the last couple of weeks. We've been in the 80's and humid for the most part.
Tom, P.S. Duluth this weekend for the Tall Ships Festival. Just thought I'd let you know in case you wanted to take the boys. But I didn't know if Hannah was going to be any better, just a note.

Yep, definitely wanting to make it up for that. Duluth is about a 90-mile up I-35 for me; we just have to find time. Karri is working Friday and Saturday, so we may have to wait for Sunday. Thought about taking our little boat up there to cruise around the harbor, but I'm not sure we'd get anywhere close.
Hello all! Long time lol I've seen a few of you on fb and the real world! Just came home from a mini vacation in Maine, first real trip in the van averaged 14mpg Wooo I know y'all are jealous hehe
Been a while Justin. Good to see you back. Every time I get the truck washed I go by your place and lately wondering what was up. Good to hear things are good and a vacation in Maine. Sounds good.
I've been getting this loud vibration coming from the front end of the F250 when doing 70 or better, and the only thing I could attribute it to is the front guard. So yesterday I pulled the guard off the truck and washed the truck, then onto the highway and nothing quiet as a bug in a rug. So I had my son look at the construction of the part I felt was doing the vibrating and son agreed. We are going to spot weld 3 places along 2 sides and then weld 2 support bars on the back side of the plate. That should take care of the vibration.
