Believe it or not but either Ford or Chrysler has a lawsuit against them for their DPF, they claim they are of a self cleaning design but they are constantly stopping up requiring cleaning or replacement. So now they have a nation wide lawsuit from all the owners because they market it as a self cleaning unit but it still clogs up requiring cleaning.

I like to know how is this good for the environment when it forces people to gut them or remove them cause they are tired of getting screwed over being charged thousands to r&r the filter and clean it only for it to clog back up again in a year or so.

When you walk thru the gate into the yard, they are laying on the ground or on a rack to your right.

This is a truck dismantlers yard (closed weekends), same family ownership since 1929, they've saved almost everything!

Bill, I hadn't thought about how I might have difficulty driving on the Arizona plates with my California driver license. If I do have to resort to that the truck will be registered in my son's name, an Arizona resident and on loan to me in California.

 

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that courtroom. Oh, wait, courtrooms are open to the public. Whatever form I'd have to take, human or insect, I'd go just to hear the judge say, "Why, I'd never heard of that before. Sounds legit to me. On behalf of the state of California, I formally apologize. You are free to go. Here, have some mints from this candy dish on my bench. Bailiff, bring the arresting officer closer so I can smack him with my gavel."
