IIRC, NO. A Dana 44 is different from a 60. You would have to swap spindles, and I believe a 44 spindle won't fit into a 60 knuckle. Just be on the lookout for a 76-77 low pinion disc brake equipped Dana 60 spindle to swap over. Why change it? Just to make it look badass? It works well the way it is.

The high pinion 60 is a great upgrade but best done with a married T-case too. If you plan on running bigger tires or doing any serious off roading, you may find the weenie little low pinion 44 seriously lacking and front driveshaft damage almost guaranteed. If it's just a pavement pounder and occasional mud puddle splasher, the low 44 should be fine.
Those old 60s are kinda hard to find around here and the low pinion ones complete unobtainum.
