I have a 2015 F150 with a 5.0. The prices of the cat back kits are ridiculous. I'm just wondering if anyone has replaced the muffler only. If so, how was the sound? I'm just wanting a better sound.
For a little more noise, just remove that resonator, and ad a straight pipe there.
I'm cheap, I do near nothing until I get a deal. The 70 series Flowmaster I use, I found on craigslist, and I got a smoking deal on it. I traded my stock stuff straight across, and the guy even delivered it to my house. I paid a local muffler $75 to weld the pipes on past the muffler.
It's worth checking out. The estimates I had for the same set up were all over $400.
