And how is that related to fanvar? Noticed that the fanvar changes value rapidly but the noise from the fan doesn't correlate to the number displayed - can be quiet at 100 and really loud when 40 or 50

At 100% fanvar, if I recall, the fan will be at or above rpm. So, you will need to be watching all three pids to tell what is going on at what times .
That's what I assume but it doesn't seem to be quite like that - maybe forscan is not reading it correctly because I've been in a couple of jams this week and the fan works perfectly while fanvar hops around. I'll have to connect up the tuner and get a second opinion...
Mine will kick on in traffic when my Ect hits 208 or when at 206 and taking off from a stop light after it has ramped up once at 208. It drops down to 202 or 204 depending. At speed it will then only ramp up when I hit 208. Can't say the percent but I can hear it (probably along with everybody around) haven't looked at other parameters but as long as I here it is know it's working I'm OK with that.
2012 f250 6.2l Fan still runs all the time, second clutch, new coolant temp sensor and knock sensors since I was in there then I ended up breaking an intake bolt off in head, new intake manifold, new ac switch all Ford parts, anyone know what else I should try before lighting it on fire and giving it a reason to be on.

Hi. Welcome to the 6.0 section of the forum. I wouldn’t light it on fire, that would be hard to explain to the insurance company, and pretty expensive. That’s about the only advice I can give on a 6.2. Good luck.
