92 E150 Power Steering Problem
I own a 92 E-150 Club Wagon, and it has a problem with the
power steering.
It works only in counterclockwise direction. This suddnely
happened 2 weeks ago.
I checked the PS fluid and the level was right, it was not leaking.
I personally imported this van from US, since Econoline has not
been imported by any distributors. I guess only 100 (or so)
of E-150 are in Japan. That means...there are no dealers, no
shops that can repair this van here in Japan. (Maybe some small
shops can, but I don't know any.)
May this be the pump or gearbox problem, or PS switch problem?
I'm afraid I don't have the Haynes manual. I have ordered it to
US long time ago, but it still has been on B/O list.
If I may need to buy a rebuilt pump or gearbox, how much it cost
there in US?
I hope somebody understands what I say. Pls advise. Pls help!

The price for a remanufactured power steering box is ~US $170 from a parts store. Or about 20,299.54 JPY
Good luck,
> unfortunately.
Grrrr!
I wanted that to be the switch problem!!
No leaks, but it still be the gearbox problem?
I'm sorry I don't really understand the mechanism of the
power steering.

Thank you for the pricing information. Is this the price with
"No-Core-Exchange"?
Can I say "Remanufactured Power Steering Gearbox for
92 E150 Econoline" when I order it?
Is it easy to install?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for all,

I'll place an order to US parts shop.
BTW, Is it really the gearbox problem? No other possibility?
I'm sorry, this doesn't mean I don't trust the advise. I just make sure (double check) it.
I have to pay a lot for shipping, it could be more than the products amount. I would gladly pay for more things if needed. The shipping may be almost the same even if I buy more things.
Or, if the gearbox is not the problem....
I'm a little nervous.

Please advise.
