A long time ago (i a galaxy far away) I worked at a lumber yard and we had a site mix concrete truck so we sold all of the accessories. One thing we sold by the gallon was revers-a-crete (sp). Apparently it would soften old concrete. Check with your local concrete contractor or concrete store.
You in a hurry to get it out of there? Maybe if it gets cold enough in your area just drill a bunch of holes in the the cement and then will with some water. Let it freeze and thaw a few times over the winter and help crack the cement? As well as put some salt on the it over the winter to help make the cement more brittle. Ya it will cause some rust on the cylinder but nothing that wont be able to be sanded down and fixed.

Thanks for the inspiration. I didn't even think of it. Back in the day when I worked for a ready-mix company this stuff was unheard of. We dove in the barrels. http://euclidchemical.com/fileshare/...te_Blaster.pdf
How are things working out on this Bob..? Are you making any headway ?
Appreciate the inquiry. The mixer barrel was put on the back burner in lieu of taking care of issues with a retaining wall at the cabin. Should be done with that in a week, then back to the mixer.
