Well.. I tore the 351 down this morning.. and needless to say i was less than impressed.. this motor grenaded it self. Big time!!
The cam is broke in 4 peices (the other 2 are still in the block.) 4 pistons are in different stages of carnage.. the bottom of the front 4 cylinders are destroyed.. theres a hole in the cam/intake valley. (Still not convinced though.. looks like a jagged oval)
And dont overlook the new and improved J-beam connecting rod.. the crank where 1&5? rods bearings seat are 2 different sizes 2.248 and 2.306..
So im writing this motor off.. im going to order a short block from Summit

This is the right year range.. the truck is a 90 F250
Im obviously going to need a cam as well.. nothing crazy.. im going to keep the stock E7 heads and get them reworked.. and replacing the stock exhaust manifold with

Any suggestions on a cam?
I plan on keeping the E4OD trans.. so it will stay EFI
Thanks in advance..

Reason: I cant spell
I am in the process of a rebuild myself on, imagine that a 90 F250 LOL went with the Compcam https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-35-255-5
Recommended by Paul (conaski) on the forum here it should give a modest HP gain and still work with the OBD1. That and shorty headers for me so I don't have to hack my exhaust.
