Yes, another interchange ability question.
Hi there folks, still relatively new to this site, only my second post!
That said, my Google-fu seems to be lacking tonight. Will a 73 - 79 hood fit on a 1972?

Ummm......yes it will physically mount with the dent hinges and latch. The bodylines however do not match up.
The cowl on the 73-79 truck is about 3" wider than the bump. In order to get them to fit, you need to cut and weld the back of the hood and the sides of the hood where it meets the fender in a pie cut fashion.
There are a couple guys that have done it and in my opinion it looks awesome when its done right.
Not a bolt on and look correct though.
