Bigger trucks, bigger space to use for such things, Dave. Tank is up under the flat bed. I may get a picture up after I return from breakfast.

Picture of my reservoir as promised. If going the reservoir route, don't forget a check valve.
I believe a correctly sized dedicated vacuum pump is really the way to go when getting the vacuum windshield wipers to work efficiently.

Just remember that you need a check valve between the reservoir and/or vacuum pump and the manifold. As Dave suggested VW used a cluster of plastic round canisters that they mounted under the hood. Speedway Motors has a nice SS radiator overflow tank that mounts perfectly alongside the radiator. The cap has an O-ring seal so it would work fine as a vacuum reservoir too. Mount one on the left as a vacuum reservoir and one on the right as a radiator overflow tank.

Overflow reservoir mounted on right side of the radiator. There is room on the left for a similar tank to be used for vacuum. You probably won't need a pump with that big a vacuum reservoir unless you live in the mountains.

I like the idea of the stainless tank, but that would be a lot of plumbing. I would think hiding that same tank up under the dash would work great. Of course, that would only work for those of us with no radio to deal with.

Only two hoses. One from the tank to the wiper motor switch and one from the tank to the manifold (check valve should be in that line). Both hoses can be wrapped into the front headlight harness that runs along the left inner fender. Very neat. No wires and less expensive than a pump. Better reliability too.

That might just work. It would certainly make for a clean install.
