AC Problems, outside temp reads -40

-40 reading, need some help
I have a 2016 f350 king ranch, temp display reads -40 on start up then goes to just 3 dash li es. I replaced the ambient temperature sensor in the passenger side mirror and no change in display. What else can I try.
