Just topped 30,000mi. Suddenly my Lariat is starting to ride like a truck. Rolling on Pirelli Scorpions 275 55 20's (originals from factory). Rather comfortable before, but now jumping over bumps like a ball now. Checked tire pressure all around(35psi). My question is , is the mileage where it's time to trade out? P,entry good looking tread, but I know that doesn't always tell the whole story. A little help please on this.
Thanks.
My truck came new with Pirelli. I went through two sets until I made the switch to Michelin. I've never looked back. No comparison in traction and or ride quality. I never got much over 30K on the Pirelli tires.

Thanks. Premiere LTX, Defender LTX M/S, or LTX M/S2?
The ones I have now are the newest release. Defender LTX M/S. I'd also recommend load force balancing if you find someone who can do that. I think it really helps on the 20" wheels. Discount Tire does my work if that helps. Best of luck to you.
I downgraded my 20" wheels and Pirelli's to stock 18" wheels with LT275/65 R18 Wrangler AT/s. I occasionally pull a boat and go offroad. The more aggressive tread on the Wranglers make for a slightly rougher ride and reduced mileage.
I bought a truck not a passenger car.

My guess is your also not a fan of the 22" wheels on the Limited? I just like the look of the larger wheels in the wheel well. To each his own I say. I'm sure the 18's are less expensive too. There are always compromises in either choice I suppose.
You can't go wrong with those Michelin LTX M/S'.
Another than I've had really good luck with is the Bridgeston Dueller H/L Allenza, it's a nice smooth, quiet ride. And for the 4x4 truck, Bridgeastone Dueller AT Revo.
