Question about 4x4 auto locking hubs

I am posting this to hopefully get an answer to a question I have. First some info I have a 1994 f150 4x4 with factory auto hubs and I'm doing a rebuild on the front dana 44 axle new ball joints tie rods axle u joints etc my question is this. I'm putting the drivers side hub back together and I found out my inner locknut tab is broke off. The tab that holds the washer in place. I am asking because the locknut is good other then the tab being broken. So if I use it without the tab and the washer as is how will it effect the 4x4 and hub. I don't want to take it apart again if I can. Sorry if this seems long winded but I'm not the greatest or most concise writer. Thanks for any help.

Mine only has one tab. The passenger side tab is not broken only driver side is. everything works fine with factory autos and I'd like to keep but I'll look for one at napa if I can thanks.
