2 barrel carb performance

I have recently installed a model 2150 carb with a code #1.21. On reading a posting not long ago Isaw several codes and their corresponding cfm rates.Would I see much gain in using the #1.33 coded 2150 carb ? What vehicle might I find such a carb on? Thank you.

The 351cfm carb should be ok for your engine. You may get more top-end power from the 424cfm, but you may also run into driveability problems, and high emissions. I really don't know where to find that size carb, most of the ones I have seen were 1.21's. They may have been on 429's or 460's, if there was a 2BBL available for them.

Thanks again. I think I will search my favourite salvage yards just for fun, to see what I can come up with. It will make a nice little project to clean and rebuild.

Just make sure you write down what it came out of- the button pushers they have at the parts stores today only know what is on the screen in front of them-
Year make and Model, please.
