Can anyone recommend some good ball joints? It's that time for me and I don't want to buy a crappie part that I'm going to need to change again in 50k.
Thanks

I would get genuine motorcraft replacements. Although moog or dana spicer are suppose to be decent. Plenty of you tube videos on installation if you're unsure.
I am a shade-tree mechanic. Never professional but I do know how to watch youtube.
Doing ball joints is not impossible, in fact, it's not even really difficult. BUT, it was a lot of work. I was dirty, tired, and sore. hah.
I did them at about 130k, they had been clunking for a little while. They were still good at 180k when I sold the truck.
In the future I will carefully evaluate my free time and spare cash pile and hopefully I will be able to pay someone else to do it for me. But at least I know that I CAN do it if I need to.
Ya I was thinking motorcraft was my beat option. Does anyone know how to order them besides goingredients to Ford? I've never heard of moog. Same goes for them. Any info on how to get them?
Thank you all for the replies.

I bought mine from O'Reilly's, but I wasn't buying anything from Rock Auto back then.
About a year ago I started shopping Rock Auto and about 80% of the time they are cheaper than any place locally. But make sure you check, because there's been a few things that were cheaper at O'Reilly's.
If you plan to keep it for several years, I'd recommend against MOOG. Their quality in the past 5-8 years has dropped. I put a set in my Wrangler that lasted 1 year. XRF is where it's at for quality.

I agree with this. I've done many many ball joints over the years now. All my own or on friends, but I've been through these front ends more times than I can remember. Imo moog is really dropping the ball in recent years. I'd look to xrf or spicer myself.
