Running boards

Hey all, I'm trying to get some ideas for side steps or running boards for my crew cab. I'd prefer not nerf bars as I don't like the look of them, so I wanted to see what you guys have done for steps or running boards.

Don't know where you are located, But I wouldn't do that in the rust belt ...

I'm on the west coast, we don't have much of a rust problem over here from road salt and such.

Then I would ...

I personally love my steps, didn't think I would!
Look in my Ruthie album, you can just see them.

these are similar to the ones i own, im very happy, large footprint, runs the length of the cab but are pulled up close to the body for clearance and mount to the frame, not the pinch welds.

They don't make this brand anymore, but I like the style. I have them tucked up as far as I can to clear the ground when crossing ditches and stuff. They are reinforced where they bolt to the rockers and they have a brace running from the bottom of the step up to the body so they don't flex when you step on them or rub them against an obstacle or drag them thru the mud when you are stuck............like this!

Onki® - Nerf Boards
I'm lookin for something like that, the single step would work, but IMO would be better on a standard cab, crew cab would look better with a full length board.

I had a set my ol' man took off his crew cab truck, but like a dummy I threw them away. Been checking out CL in my area for some decently priced ones.
