Step bars or running boards

I'm looking to put black step bars on my excursion and remove the factory tan running boards. I'm not sure I like the N-Fab as the step pad seems a little small. Any suggestions? This is my wife's rig so comfort and usability is more important to her than looks. Thanks guys

Wife's rig? Amp research steps! There is no equal.

I really don't like the nerf style tubing because when it's wet, your foot slips off and the step pad is a pain because you have to be perfect stepping on the pad. If $ doesn't play a role..Amps are the way to go and that will be my route as I have neither, because I'm saving for my wants.

Not black, but you could snag some steps off a crew cab superduty and throw them on there. I prefer the no-step look but man they are handy for getting in/out.

I got mine for $100.

I just installed these, and I really like them. They are the F250 crew cab, cab length steps. Made by *-FAB for the company I work for. NOT trying to sell anything, just letting you know. My wife and kids all get in and out with ease using these.

Let me know if you go the AMP steps route. I never even opened the box and don't think 'll be installing them on my rig.
