2" level + 5100s?

So I've got about 52k on my truck and I'm ready for new shocks and tires. I want to go with a 285/75-18 tire, so I'm considering just a little more lift. I was considering adding 5100s with the fronts on the 2nd notch. Anybody done anything like this? Any thoughts? Should I just get a 2.5" puck and keep the 5100s at stock height, or maybe even go with a different shock all together? I will also be adding an AAL, so I'm not worried about it making my truck look like it has worms.

I'd do either or not both.

if you're going to spend the extra money for the 5100s just use them and forget about the spacers.

I failed to mention I already have a 2" puck on my truck. Think it's an AS. Anyone running that tire size with only a 2"? I'm running a 285/65-18, so it's not a huge difference.

You have to pull out the strut (and hence your existing spacer) to install the 5100s so chuck the spacer and get the lift solely from the 5100s.

Just seems there are quite a few people that don't like 2.25" setting on the 5100s. Would a 2.5" spacer with just a replacement shock give you a better ride?

The 2.5" spacer plus a stock height shock will probably ride a bit smoother since the higher you set the 5100 the more it preloads the shock. Personally I wouldn't raise the front more than 2" with a leveling kit due to the angle it puts the front end components at.
