Spartan SOTF Install

Installed Spartan's "shift on the fly" **** today. You have the choice of 5 tune settings at the turn of the **** running down the road. No more waiting 10-15 minutes to go between tunes. And it looks factory! 40,90,120,165 and 200HP are the HP levels.

I would go with the Spartan too but since I getting rid of this truck it doesn't matter. However that is a nice and clean setup, and their tuning is the best.

Clean indeed. Plus you have the bottle opener ready for when you're done...

It was a paint can opener, but I guess it could serve a dual purpose!

Yes, it's a paint can opener on one end and a bottle opener on the other. Maybe that's why we painters have a rep for drinking too much. We get confused as to which end to put to use first...

I had lots of issues with my 06 6 liter and now way too many issues with my 6.7. I counted 42 days without my 6.7, which is totally unacceptable. And two of the times it broke down, I fixed it myself, so it could be more. I never had issues with my v10's, so I'm going back to gas. I made the deal tonight for a 2016 E350 cutaway with the 5.4, its not powerful but it's reliable.

Didn't even know the 5.4 was still around. Thought they were putting the 6.2s in them? Guess you learn something new everyday.

The 5.4 is no more in 17, only option is the v10 in E series vans. The 6.2 is rumored to come to the E series but who knows when.

I feel your pain with the 6.0 - as I had two that were full of issues. All of the 6.7's I have had have been great, including my current one.

Sorry you are having issues. I hope the gas van works out for you. If anything the cost per mile to operate it should be less, as well as, the purchase. If you are like my uncle when he was alive and running a plumbing company he drove the vans into the ground before he got rid of them. Like several hundred thousand miles...

We Georgia boys have it going on. Very nice install. Now, if we could just figure out how to keep the UGA running backs healthy.
