Cool idea but damn that's going to take awhile. Plasma cutter for the bulk and a mill to clean it up would be the way to go. Fortunately it is cast iron and that stuff drills and mills like butter.

+1 If I can find a plasma cutter to borrow I will, if not well I guess I'll be seeing how death wheels and flap disks do with cast iron. I'm working on getting some mill time but if not I guess it's going to be a patience game.
I may try to fabri-cobble together a counter weight or spring assist as I'm sure the cast heads aren't light.
Good news! I have a lead on a couple engines locally one 460 and one 360/390 (the old timer isn't sure which one it is) both are pretty complete so I might be able to get this going soon-ish.
bad news haven't found an engine I feel comfortable murdering yet. good news been busy as hell finding info for my project. I will do this project at some point I swear lol
