ID VIN

Can someone tell me what differential my son has in his 02F250 4X4 I'm trying to order seal parts for front hub VIN number 14TNX21F02ED60973
Tag on front differential 3.73 V2C34 FB 611299 1

That VIN doesn't show in my system.

The second digit should be an F, no?

Which seal are you trying to order exactly?

IIRC all 2002's came with a Dana 60 solid axle, and it looks like you have the 3.73 gears, if that helps any?

Your local driveline shop will be able to tell you and get you the correct parts.

Thanks for the info
The right hub leaks vacuum when he turns the 4wd drive on, so we think it needs a need locking hub seal sorry bout the wrong VIN number

That can be caused by a number of things, have you inspected the vacuum hose going to the hub itself? They have been known to rot out, have you pulled the hub assembly and made sure that all the components that are supposed to be there are actually there (seals, thrust washers,etc.) another thing to check while the hub is out is whether the large stub axle seal is in good shape.

How did you narrow it down to one specific hub? Did you seal off that vacuum line and try and operate the system?
