Mine was gone above the windshield where yours is. I took all the glass out and sandblasted it, and saw what I had to work with. Which led to the parts/donor truck, lol
Man...I'm really hoping for a simpler solution. I've got no place to keep a parts truck. I think I'm gonna have to beat my solution out of blank 18 ga sheet metal.
That is a real bad place to get rust, but fortunately it's accessible from both sides...the one hole I've got is the only hole I've got...for now. I was so blinded by the condition of the rest of the truck (not to mention that I HAD to have it) that I didn't even notice that issue.
Kinda funny, I've been working on Mopars for 30 years. My bud who is storing the Ford for me is a prolific Mopar builder (Cummins swaps) who has cabs and beds and just about everything I would need to "fix-up" a Dodge truck...and I went and bought a Ford . He even took me to go GET the thing and followed me home. He's a good friend and even hardcore Mopar guys can appreciate a Ford truck...I'm on my second.
