turbo boost preasure?

Hey everyone
I have just had propane injection installed from diesel performance products and had it set for pulling our 5er 31' 18000 lbs. They set it to come on at 3 psi of boost but I don't feel any difference? should I? how much boost should it make?
7.3 turbo 5 spd
Thanks

I ran propane ten years ago, still have the setup (not installed). I never felt it did much good and resisted the temptation to turn it up. Bad things can happen!

Propane? That's not what you hear of every day. Does that really think to tow better?

10 years ago when the diesel craze was hot and heavy propane was a popular thing until everyone discovered all it did was screw up your timing and window your block when you got greedy.

To the OP what is your max boost pressure?

Guys
I have 94.5 F350 XLT CCLB DRW ZF5, 4.10 gears K&N intake, TS Tuner, 3" down 4" MBRP out. Trans, water and EGT gauges I now wish i had put a boost gauge in but at the time it didn't think I needed it. I towed my trailer on a short run last weekend about 40 mile round trip gauge on propane tank has not moved and i know it doesn't use much. I was told not to go higher than 50 HP + on my tuner. Truck pulls good black smoke until 2300 RPM then less but its pulling strong. I was hoping for a little more say from 1800 RPM on?
Thanks
HB

Found the problem no turbo boost 1 psi at 3000 rpm
took it to my mechanic he says turbo is dead. he took off intake and manifold tubes says end play is good spins free but produces no boost? waste gate working and closed. didn't have time to look at exhaust impeller but thinks that is where problem is. I needed truck back as we are leaving on vacation. going to put a stock turbo back on. any thoughts and suggestions appreciated.HB

I'd find a new shop since these trucks don't have a waster gate. What on the exhaust side of the turbo is an exhaust back pressure valve and it should be open. If it's stuck closed then you found your problem.

I agree, find another shop, no waste gate on a stock turbo, and the exhaust wheels never fail, always the intake. With zero boost, these trucks can hardly get out of there own way, you could never pull a camper with no boost.

I'm assuming you don't have a boost gauge? Put one on and see what you get for numbers.

haha, my brother in law several years ago said mine had a waste gate. I kept saying no it doesn't and he insisted it did. I bet him a thousand dollars it didn't and then he shut up, lol. I even offered to bring my truck over and he could look for it.

Have you tried removing the electrical connecter to the EBPV ? It will run fine but won't engage the valve.

Also what is fuel pressure? Not enough fuel equals no boost
