Looking for the part numbers for the bracket and plastic engine cover for the e99 trucks. Pretty much all I see on ebay is the 00-03 design, and they sure do value those things...
Anyone have one stashed that they don't want? Can even be broken, I'm going to paint it anyway so repair isn't as issue.
All this work on my engine, I want it to look as good as it's going to run.
Not sure what you would do with the part number, because for the last 13 years, providing the original part number to Ford would still yield the newer design cover anyway. I tried ordering the early 99 cover twice, using the original engineering number taken from the cover that I wanted, and both times received the newer style cover from Ford. And that was 13 years ago.
Sorry, I can't lay my hands on that original part number now, but my point is, having the number didn't do me any good when the truck was still within 3 years of production. The specific style of part you want was already obsoleted way back then. Now, it is 16 years past production. I think you are going to be looking at used.
Didn't know it was a superseded part number...that a bummer. I like the e99 design better. So if you have a good e99 cover you can't get a replacement cover to go with it? I'm fine with used since I wanted to paint it to match my valve covers anyway.
There are no Superduties, let alone diesels in scrap yards around here. People run them until there is nothing but a pile of rust left.
I found a cover on ebay, but no matching bracket so that would be pretty useless...
I did post that number a few years back and I got the right one. I also gave it to Robin back when and he got the right one also. I don't think I still have it but I'll look in the garage later tonight. I just ordered it from Hemborg ford and it came in right.
The bracket is F81A-6A955-AA. Sorry, don't have the cover any more. Go to auto nation, with that number they mitt have the right cover. I know it wasn't 13 years ago I ordered these. Let someone work on my Diff., and they laid on the motor and broke this and didn't tell me. Nice, they weren't even suppost to be up there, they were looking for other work I guess.
