Yes I have a thread started there titled Pikes Peak.
I also was stopping by to say hello.
Is there any Chapter activities down here in Vegas?
Hello rwelli1001,
Welcome to the board.
I don't know anything about the 7.3's, except that they are supposed to be better than the 6.0's & seem to be highly sought after when people are looking to buy a truck.
Unfortunately, there haven't been any big Chapter GTG's anywhere in NV since I've become CL. I've tried to put one together, but with the economy, work schedules & finding a central NV location for everyone to meet at, made it difficult as most of us would not have been able to attend. We have found that it tends to be alot easier to have small GTGs with other members that live nearby or are passing through our areas. GTGs doesn't have to be big, all it takes is 2 or more members to meet up for coffee or whatever. I know that there have been numerous small GTGs in the Vegas area though.... helping each other move, helping repair vehicles, meeting at car shows, etc.
If you're ever in the Reno, Carson City, Dayton, Tahoe, Fernley or Fallon area...please let me know. I'm near the crossing of Hwy 50 east & Hwy 95. I would be happy to have a small GTG & meet you.
Hmm... work or poker run? I'm thinking poker run, but I don't want to leave my boss hanging either. Damn, I hate tough decisions! He depends on me to be there.
He hired me for 2 days a week & I've been working every single day since I started with only 4 days off. Poker run or not, I really NEED a day for myself. I think I'm going to try to take the day off & if he doesn't like it.... than I'll remind him that he still has to pay me for the other 5 unscheduled days per week I've worked for almost 2 months! Maybe I'll just go in around 2pm after the poker run instead.
Have a great day

the problem is and was that the starter will not engage. I can here it spinning but it is not grabbing. I have done the following.
1. replaced starter from autozone. no luck
2. replaced the cable going from the selinoid to the starter. it had bare spots.
3. replaced the start selinoid.
4. checked the teeth on the fly wheel as far as i can get my big fat fingers up into the hole. (size 12.5 ring is way to small for my fat fingers)
5. checked the voltage. which i am getting 12.5 volts off the battery and at the the seliniod
WELL I should have taken the starter back as it turned out it was bad right out of the box I hate that. The girl at the counter did learn how to test a starter today.
