Morning

I was joking about "space suit" and just as a joke I looked it up on eBay and they had several from about $1,000 to $3,000.

Back to camping today.

Stay cool today. Nice ice cold beer!!!

Good morning guys. The foreman is running rather late today so I thought I'd stop in. Has anybody here been paying attention to the new super duty?

Been watching the 2017 forums. After all the suspense and wishful thinking, the HP and torque numbers on the new models had gotten so hyped that I think a lot of the folks over there are disappointed by the real numbers.

Really superb trucks - lotsa cool new features...but I am always leery of new models and prefer to wait a couple of years 'til the bugs are worked out.. (not to mention that my wife firmly believes that my current truck should last for at least the next 15 years). Of course, that hasn't stopped me from entering the contests to win a new 2017 Superduty.

I love the camera(s) setup on the new trucks. I'm seriously considering trading mine in on one of the new ones once they can be easily found on lots.

I think it's rather comical how disappointed these guys are with a number like 925 lb/ft. Not to mention it is almost assured to go up in a few months. I certainly wouldn't blame you for looking into these new trucks, Greg. I think they are very impressive trucks. The only thing that I will truly be curious about is the overall feel of the cab. I'll also be interested to hear what guys think of the 6.2L in the new truck.

I think that I'll take a close look at the new 2017 at the dealer. Maybe take one out for a test ride. Want to see how they compare to my 2011. Who knows what could happen.

Enjoy the day today no humidity and only a high of 85.

From what I have gathered, the cabs on the new trucks are probably going to feel substantially smaller than the outgoing trucks, as they are now using the same cab as the 150's. I haven't looked into dimensions to see if they made them any wider for the super duty.

The weather has been pretty great for the past two days, but it looks like that's coming to a fairly abrupt end. Next Monday looks awful.

My impression from driving/riding in Brother-in-Law's '16, F150, Crew Cab was similar head/leg room in front (possibly a little shorter? in back seat, but that may have been seat height), more leg room (in back seat), but it felt somewhat tighter as far as shoulder and hip room - front and back.

Going to be hot and humid. Take care out there today. Me and the dogs will stay in the camper air conditioning.

Exactly. So I'm guessing guys may be complaining about the width of the cab unless they stretched it some.

Morning

Another hot day coming our way today and a chance of bad weather this afternoon. So watch yourself out there and hydrate.

Wife traded in the Wrangler for a used Cadillac SUV. We are going to pick it up in Rhode Island this afternoon. What a ride difference between the Caddy and the Jeep.

I think most 3/4 ton trucks drive and ride better than the wranglers.

Morning

We have had a couple of Wranglers and they are a lot of fun, but hard ride on long trips. Our 4 door Sport had a solid front end and you felt everything. The Sahara has a softened front end much better but still uncomfortable on trips. When ever we go someplace we normally take the F250. It's really comfortable on long trips. Note even when pulling a 5th wheel.

I guess we are in for more heat through Thursday.
