Is there a store that sells 8.75x16.5 tires around the Oklahoma area or do I need to go with 17 inch rim with a 8 bolt pattern from an earlier year

I bet you will have a hard time finding 16.5 's for sale off the shelf. Ck out some military take offs 36x12.50x16.5 or 37x12.50x16.5, 2 different styles.

Craigslist is your friend for locating 16.5's in Oklahoma.

Good deal for rims and tires, looks like Weld Stone crusher rims.https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/wto/5659393100.html

Rims below will NOT work on the front end, due to 7" back spacing.

Dang man I'll bet the Oklahoma area is pretty big. Heck, y'all probably have counties out there bigger than the whole state of CT!

When I bought my truck last year the spare was shot, done, kaput. I went to a local no-name tire shop one morning and they had me squared-away that afternoon. Good 10 ply 16.5" tire.

Check your local tire shop man, they should be able to help you out.

the 36 and 37s wont fit the front with out a lift, the max I can do is 31 or 32" without hitting the wheel well.

Is your truck 2wd? 265's should fit a 2wd just fine, I had some 265's on my F250 4wd that were to small IMO, so I put the 33x12.50x16.5 back on.

Now just locate some 17" rims that are 8 on 6 1/2. Anything up to a 98 should fit, in 99 Ford went metric with a 8 in 170mm.

I have some chrome spoke 8 on 6 1/2 that are 16's with some 265's in the barn. Where in Oklahoma are you? N, S, E, Westerly?

I live in Oklahoma City and had a set of Firestone Transforce HT tires installed January of 2014. I got mine at Hibdon Tires Plus. They seemed to be very easy to get. They had to get them from a warehouse in Okc. They had another option for a little bit cheaper of 16.5 inch tire but I went ahead with firestone.
