Front Leaf Spring Bumper Location?

I have a 1951 F1 and have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out the correct location for the front leaf spring frame bumpers. The frame holes may have been filled on mine.

Could someone please measure and give me the locations please? Even just a good picture would tell me where they go.

Thanks!!

John

Should be directly above the axle. The chart shows its 35.76" back from the leading edge on the bumper. As would be expected, the same measurement is shown on the F-2 and F-3 charts. Stu

The chart shows the center line of the front axle, with no reference to the axle bumper. I have not found it on any picture or drawing.

Is it centered over the axle, or is forward or back of the axle?

Directly above the axle, like Stu said above. In the event the springs do compress enough for the axle to make contact, we want it to hit the bumper, not somewhere else on the frame.

Straight up from the spring center pin, or, if you don't have your axle and spring installed yet, I measure 17.25" back from the center of the forward spring hanger pin/grease zerk. Stu
