The quickest and least expensive way to dramatically change the appearance of any vehicle is the wheels. Then I'd make it sound good with a better exhaust. Tint the windows before the stereo replacement because they can't steal what they can't see. Have fun and good luck.Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds
.Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Heavyduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Weighs around 7,000lbs w. 65mph top speed, who wants to race me!

What is wrong with clear corners?? In no way do they make it a "RICE BOY FORD." I don't see anything wrong with them, in fact I think they give a nice look to my truck as well as MustangGT221's truck. If you like them, I say go for it!!!!

Wow, that mustang makes me want to cry....poor car...
Anyways, thanx for all the great suggestions! Well I'm getting side exhaust put on the truck next weekend!!!! I want rims pretty soon too, but I can't find rims I like, every set of rims I have looked at look ghetto, a little too much chrome for me....
Its gotta look good
, my mustang may not be fast but it sure looks good, the trucks gotta look good too...and as far as performance I know exactly what I want to do
What do u guys think of dropped F-150's, not slammed, just dropped 3-4 inches? I'd love to raise it but Im too short for a jacked up truck :-)

I also support the idea of spending the time and money on making it faster and handle better rather than looking cool. It's all about having a car that looks completely normal that hauls! There's nothing worse than something that looks fast but really isn't. My opinion is that clear corners and tails looks cheezy and rediculous, and you'd be better off spending that $$ on header paint that will just burn off anyway. I like dressed up engines, but that's because only your real car enthusaists buddies will ever get to see it anyway.
My take on lowering: lowered a few inches can be cool, and some nice Centerline wheels will really help accentuate the improved stance, and give a clean overall appearance. Limit wheel size to 16", 17 would be pushing "Low Rider" territory. I like the fast street truck image over the gigantic tire look anyday.
First priority for speed should be changing the rear end gear ratio. Go to 3.90's or 4.10s for some real acceleration. You won't lose too much if any top speed with your AOD transmission. Once you've got your gears squared away, then we can look into cam and heads to get you screaming. Expect to pay around $1000 parts and labor for a high quality limited slip differential and ring and pinion gear, and installed by a competent professional. You can add 150 HP and you still won't go as fast as you would by giving the truck more gear.
Let your motor do the showing off
