So I have made the decision to replace my WM's on my 55' F350 SRW. Thanks Stu for the find and sharing with me. It's only one, but a start. It even has a brand new tire which I do not plan to keep. If anyone is in need of a 8 - 19.5 mud tire let me know. Also, If any members out there have any more leads on 6 lug. 7.25 pattern, 19.5's please let me know!
Stu - I did notice that this wheel/tire is 34" tall as opposed to 32", that shouldn't be a problem should it? Thanks, Dave
One of us M-H guys wants that tire. Please keep us in mind. Am I right it's a Courser Traction LT? The original 7.50-17s on your truck started out at 34" too. When you buy new radial 8R19.5s for the truck they will be about 33.5" tall.
You are correct Stu it is a Courser Traction. I don't think the Tire has ever hit the road! I have already been contacted by a member and will probably let it go if we can agree on $$ and shipping. I also checked a local Farm Tire shop and the 10 ply hiway tires for the 19.5 are about $136. Does that sound about right?
Dave, I seem to find wheels every so often. But trying to recall seeing any 6 lug wheels lately. Seems like i found some somewhere..
I'll keep my eyes open. And Stu is right one of us would like to give that tire a home.
If it is a match to some ive got i have two extra courser's
Ad yours would make 3. Then find one more for a set, either for me or another member in need??
Stu, what potential donors should i be looking at for those wheels. Youve probably got some sniffed out in every state dont ya?
For no more than you'll drive it you don't need top of the line motor home tires. That sounds like a good price. I texted Mark about your Courser so hope you guys can strike a deal. Stu

I texted Josh and Owen about it too. Mark jumped first. I try to keep track of what is available.
The wheel is Budd #70740, 19.5" x 5.25". Used by Ford on SRW F-350s (B6Y 1015-B) from 1956 to 1966. Also used by Dodge on 300 Series one tons (part number 1938165) from 1961 to 1968. The NWRA cross reference code is X-45064.
A similar wheel was made for either the military, UPS, or similar fleet purpose. It has no part number stamped. It is a 19.5" x 6.00". Mark came up with one that he passed on to me. I then passed it on to another member last year when I flushed out my 19.5" inventory. Stu
One more thing. A tire dealer might try to sell you metric sized tires rather than the old inch size. The 5.25" wide rim is approved for either a 225/70R19.5" (metric) or 8R19.5" (inches). The 225/70 is 32" tall and will look too short on the truck while the 8R19.5" looks right. Stu
Yeah, I've mentioned them here on other threads. Didn't know their price. Guess it stands to reason a dealer would charge serious money for them. Anyway you cut it, though, their price is still cheaper than driving the country doing yard searches. Stu
Mission accomplished! Thanks Stu making this connection. It was nice too meet a fellow FTE member and have a nice chat. These wheels have gotten a good home and will be unrecognizable in a couple of weeks. Thanks again Doug. Until next time, cheers!
Took these Bad Boys to get sand blasted yesterday. Found out the rim that had a lot of rust was cracking at the factory seam. I talked to my tire guy and he said it would be OK to weld, but a good chance it might not hold air without a tube. So I decided to have it welded. Good enough to get it on the road. I plan to continue my search because I need a spare anyway. After that gets done they're all headed to get powder coated. I'm getting close to picking out my rubber!
