I figured it couldn't hurt to add my $0.02 here, and resurrect my headliner project for Buford.......I went with 1/8" ABS plastic, but since it comes in 4'x8' sheets, I had to adapt in my own way. I put the two sheets together, and used the old headliner as a template, with the seam of the two sheets as a midpoint. I then cut the two sheets into their respective shapes, and used about a 6 or 8 inch wide strip of the plastic to glue the two sheets together. With the ABS glue, the bond is quite permanent. Once I got the baseboard made, and recessed out the notches for where the screws go through the trim pieces, I then coated the sheet in 1/4" foam, and then put down black vinyl on top of that. The key there is to not touch it until the glue is completely dry, or you will compress the foam, and it will stay that way if the glue is wet. Anyway, here are a few photos so you get the general steps for the project.....

Question I got no headliner or nothin'

I was scratching my head on this as well. When I got my truck it was missing the headliner and trim. None of the catalogs have anything for a SC. BTW there is also no insulation at all. There seems to be evidence of old adhesive. Also my roof's cross beams are loose and not connected where they cross. Were these initially spot welded together? I have surface rust and old adhesive? so it's hard to tell. Seems like they should be connected. On the top side of the beams is old particle board type material, that is apparently factory stapled to the beams. It is only on top of the beam. Was it cut away? Was it supposed to be a full sheet. I plan on scrubbing the bottom side of the roof and putting in something like dynamat and then bolting the cross beams together through a center hole. At some point like other posts suggest, putting in a 2 piece headliner. Any info and suggestions are appreciated.

I have a blue one , a deluxe version with the buttons. I would sell, but not sure how something this large would fare, not only in transport, but also as far as shipping cost.

What about a van headliner?

Following this thread with a 75 SC that will need a headliner. Not in a hurry as it is a few projects down the line, but was at a wrecking yard today and saw an 80s van with an intact headliner and thought of the supercab issue. Width should be OK, and length can be cut (maybe?). Probably need a template from your old headliner and I have no idea what is under the van headliners (maybe just fabric) but thought I would throw the idea and pics out there. Seems to be a lot of vans at my local JY.
Any thoughts or am I way off?

Looks interesting. Take measurements of your area needed for the headliner. Take the headline out of the van and cut it down to what you need. If the van is like the bumpsides, you'll need to account for the area that has the visor holes. If you don't have a template, you can get a good measurement for what you need by removing the small cover pieces and putting blue tape down. Re-install cover pieces and mark a line on the tape. Cut your headliner 1/2" larger all around and then work your way down. It is time consuming, but it can be done. If you have any crewcabs available, their headliners work as well.

Anyone ever tried the StockInteriors.com headliner pressed board? Says $180 included headlining material (or $18 less for bare)? Standard shipping from their factory in SC to UT at $69 is a bit ouchie though...

Did you sell this blue headliner? Is it paperboard with the little black polka dots? Or is it vinyl covered?
