Across the river from St Louis, East Alton IL.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to bring home my Grandfather's old Farm truck, a 1959 F600!
It's a project for sure, but not all that bad. It is mostly original, though from what I'm told, the bed that is on it has been changed. Appears to be the original 292 and two speed rear end. Not sure about the tranny, I haven't scraped off the oily dirt yet
I'm cleaning it up and going through everything now, trying to lay out a plan for what lays ahead. I'd like to get it functioning mechanically, tagged, and back on the road first, then work over the appearance as able.
No show truck. No museum piece. Just a great piece of family history that deserves to be kept alive.
