battery tender, if your climate freezes, make sure there's anti-gel in the tank, good to go. Make sure tires are aired up too.

If in the winter I would also suggest a full tank of fuel.

My truck sits for weeks at a time, always full of fuel. When I drive it I put miles on.
No problems for me, it gets driven at least every 2 to 3 weeks.

I don't drive mine daily, and it frequently sits for a month or more. No special treatment is necessary. If longer than a bout a month, a battery maintainer would be a good investment (solar cell on the dash is probably the easiest way). The tank is pretty well sealed, and tests done on boats proves that the "keep you tank full" theory holds no water (so to speak ), there will be no difference in water content full or near empty even after a year.

Have a 2012 and just turned over 13000 miles. Sometime it sits for 2 or 3 weeks at a time and never had an issue yet. Most trips are short too unfortunately but still runnin good.

Having left mine for 2 months without it being started or driven - you'll want the battery tender. I have one now - I was able to get it started without jump, but you could tell the batteries were weak. Ohh and make sure you remove anything plugged into the cigarette lighters too, like cell phone chargers. They drain a little power even when not in use.

If you are leaving in the summer and it could get 'cold' while you are gone or come back to the cold and want it to start, I suggest a healthy dose of anti-gel/winter formula. Try and also leave some room in the tank so when it starts you can top off with winter blend fuel. Avolar - you didn't say where you are, so this might not apply to you.

Probably the biggest problem of not using the truck or driving it all that often is that fuel does go bad. Diesel isn't as bad as gas, but it still gets stale. Another reason to keep some fresh additive on hand and dump it in when you return...

Honestly, nothing to really worry about, I just gave you my potential pitfalls and what I do to make sure it will start if/when I leave it stored again for a month or so.
