Question D3VE head milling

Does anyone know how much I can machine off of D3VE heads before I have any fittment problems (intake and/or valve clearance) pistons are +040 smog (big dish) the cam will be comp extreme 4X4 270/278 advirtised 226/234 @ .050 .554/.574 lift I'm trying to stick with these heads for now due to budget issues. Mill work for me is cheap/free. what would the net compression be? its about 8.0:1 now

D3VE head milling

If I remove .040 from head face(block/cylinder side)what do you mean by the sides and bottom?

D3VE head milling

is .040 the limit and if so do you know the resulting compression
how far untill a valve interferance? do you foresee any valve problems?

I don't see any problem with valve clearance, but it's always a good idea to mock it up for insurance.

You need all the data on your engine, including deck height, to determine C/R.
