I'm looking to mount an American Flag in the bed of my truck. I'm looking to hear different ideas. I dont really want drill a hole in the bed. And I want it to look good.
Fabricate (weld) sleeved inserts for the stake pocket... you can even get fancy and use a thru-bolt or pin so it can be easily removed.
I recently found in the street one of those flags that saddles over the window glass... someone apparently opened their window and lost it. I fabricated a bracket with a mast that zip ties to the roof rack... The original flag's plastic mast just zip-ties to the mast. EZ.
Further to 351ClevelandC4 - great idea but please please please PLEASE have respect for the flag, don't let it get all frayed to crap, and take it in when it rains. I suspect I am not the only one who gets violently pissed at places and people who fly frayed and tattered flags. Johnny Cash had a great song about that, but that was another flag at another time. Treat the old girl right, please.

Absolutely. Being that it's flown in high winds, the tattering and fraying is unavoidable, but I try to keep it in check, and replace it when I feel it's gone far enough.

When I have a flag in need of retirement, I take them to my shoots that I go to, where the scouts perform a proper ceremony.
