New mods in what order?

I have been planning on how to complete the truck mods with out going into debt. I figure I can toss 400 a month at mods. so about 1 mod every 4 months.

In what order is best? My guess is
1. E fuel- 2.5 months
2. Sticks 2.5 months or less
3. turbo. 2.5
4. trans 8 to 10 months?

or ???

The first question is what's the end game? How much power do you want and what are you going to do with it?

Completely agree here. I've been following your build thread, so we know maintenance is up to par. I would start with trans. Then bring on the power.

You could always do e fuel first, but trans is big ticket item that will definitely need addressed. Not like turbo and injectors are small ticket items, but the biggest is the trans.

Or be an idiot and make gobs of POWA on a stock trans. It's like Russian roulette every time you drive it.

You can address and band aid the tranny with a billet 3 disc and a shift kit. Or do what most do and make it into a hand shaker.

Well it will be a driver to work most of the time but if and when we go camping (about 3 time a year) i will be pulling a 12k trailer. The end game is a hill climber with out having to drive 40 MPH.

'most do'?

I had to learn the hard way. First trans I burned up cost me 2K. Two years later right out of warranty I burned it up again, another 2K. Then the third time around it started slipping I said I was going to get a John Woods. That thing is bullet proof so far. He's in southern California, wouldn't be to far for you! Fatten up your wallet first though. Now as far as the 40mph stuff goes, I pull 17K with the mods in my signature for the OX and on a wicked hill I'm going 40mph in 2nd gear.

ok, well I have the gauges and the IC done.
Trans
pushrods
efuel
injectors and turbo sounds about right.
Big stuff first. I guess that is better than busting the trans and having to do it who knows where it will brake.
I think I like to find an extra trans and have it built then swap mine out.

Well I hope I don't go that slow but it is still better than the 25 to 35 in first gear up the big hills with 11k I have now. my max speed on a slight incline is 55 to 60 in passing gear 5mpg. It really is the MPG that kills me and not able to go faster. Perhaps I should just do a Cummings 12v swap? LOL

I'll save that mod if the engine ever blows up. Not likely.

I don't understand the need for pushrods so high on the priority list. Are the stock ones really weak and subject to bending? Not questioning the need, just want to understand why.
