Sorry for the long read....I had the ProComp Prerunner dual stabilizer kit (222582Z) installed at a reputable offroad/diesel shop. Shortly after the install i noticed a slight pull to the right causing me to compensate by turning the wheel to about 11oclock. Very slight but noticeable. I've got about 500 miles on the kit and noticing the passanger front tire starting to wear on outside. I called the shop who installed and he claims the shocks are passive and should not push either direction. I called procomp and they say the same thing. Both installer and Procomp want me to get an alignment. I've got 18K on the truck and no pulling issue prior. To give some back history I had a 2005 f250 4x4 stock height and had 4Wheel parts put the older Procomp kit on that truck. I had the issue on it. I had to get it realigned every 5K miles. I attributed it to a possible shoddy install on 4wheels end. At this point I don't know who is to blame or how to properly fix the issue. I wouldn't think I would need an alignment just because of this kit. If I understand these kits correctly they do not change the geometry of the steering or alignment. The new installer recommends i got with a FOX kit from BSD. Any installers out there with some input on where to look? Thanks in advance for any help.
I think I have the same procomp kit that I installed myself on my 2011 SB CC about a year ago. No issues I really like the reduction in vibration in the steering wheel I felt. I removed the original steering stabilizer shock though as well. No idea as to what would cause that.
