M5R2 transmission
shifter was shifting fine. i removed shifter then reinstalled Now will not move.
I am a 62 year old Vietnam war vet. i need this truck to earn money to pay my bills. any help greatly appreciated.

Not real familiar with the manual transmission. Is it a top loader, or have the shift levers on the side of the trans.
Did you align the shift linkage before removing the shifter?
If it was shifting fine, why did you remove it?
Good rule of thumb is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Or as Red Green would say "If it isn't broke, you're not trying."

This is a top loader. I replaced flywheel,pressure plate,clutch etc. Reinstalled transmission. The shifter was working fine but pulled it off to put new clips to hold boot on. Put shifter back in will not shift. There is a lever inside with a spring wire not sure if something moved. Would like a picture down in the tower to see if something moved.
