Father's Day / 15 years

I bought my 2001 F-150 new on Father's Day weekend 15 years ago . Just turned 320,000 miles Friday. What a great truck it has been and hoping for many more miles. Had to replace a few coils but that has been about it. It's showing a little bit of wear but can't imagine driving anything else.

It really is amazing how a vehicle can grow on you. I've had some that I just couldn't wait to get rid of, and only a few (including my '03 150) that I truly would keep to the bitter end. I guess its all about reliability, style, and comfort...something that the newer trucks haven't struck me with so far.

I agree 100%!! My 01 has 150k on her, and the rocker panels are rusted and the bottom inisde of the doors are starting, but Im going to rust bullet them.......Driving the truck always puts a smile on my face!! Ice cold a/c....enough cab room for anything you can imagine....comfortable seating.....etc....I leased an 06 and didnt like it at all....Long live the 97-04 series!!
